I started my legal career with Browell Smith &Co Solicitors in 2002 having previously worked within the Health Service as a senior MRI radiographer. I returned to Browell Smith & Co in 2021 as a senior member of the clinical negligence team.
I have specialised in medical negligence law for over 10 years and I have extensive experience in the area.
I act on behalf clients in a range of clinical negligence cases, including children who have cerebral palsy or Erb’s palsy as a result of inadequate neonatal care. I also represent mothers, who have suffered injury during delivery or where there are failures to diagnose congenital conditions during pregnancy.
I act for adults who have suffered a brain or spinal injury or who have suffered avoidable amputations, recovering substantial amounts of compensation to fund care, therapies and a range of other needs.
I have a special interest in cases involving delayed cancer diagnosis and negligent surgery.
I have also represented families at inquests, where a loved one has died through negligent medical treatment.
I am a senior litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). I am a Newcastle Law Society member.
Outside work, I am a keen photographer and I enjoy walking.
